Hello October!

Good Afternoon, The classroom had a lot less energy and fun in it today, but I hope the students were able to find some time to sharpen their saw doing some things that they love. Next week is Homecoming week in the district so be sure to check out the dress up days below as well as the date and time for the Homecoming Parade. It's been one busy month to start the school year, but I am proud of the kids for their daily efforts as well as the culture we are creating within our classroom in 4th Grade. I look forward to continuing to build on the start this next month! Week in Review: Leader in Me:  This week, we learned how to have a growth mindset and perseverance. Good Afternoon, It's hard to believe the last full week of school in September has already ended, and it was definitely a week filled with learning! We are well into our units, and students are starting to make some strides already within each unit which is amazing to see. Good Afternoon, This week may have felt long for some of the students because of beginning of the year i-Ready taking up parts of two days, but they persevered to make it through the week. We have almost all of our beginning of the year testing done, and can start to settle into our schedule routinely going forward. The beginning of the year can feel busy with all the 'new' that is happening, but it has been great getting to know all of the students a little bit better every single day. I look forward to continuing to build a classroom culture that all students can thrive in, and be their best versions of themselves! Week in Review: Leader in Me:  We are excited to share the 7 Habits with our family members and caregivers. Try this activity as a family: Identify people in your family or community who are courageous. As we learn about the habits, We invite you to use the Habit Homework Menu and challenge your family to engage in the activities! Writing: Writers began the week l...
